A Turbulent Dinner: A Lesson in Choices
I was in the bathroom, the outside world seemed distant as the hot, humid air enveloped me. I had just finished dinner, and while the food looked delicious, something was definitely wrong. A strong cramp ran through my stomach, clamping down like an unbearable vice.
A wave of nausea suddenly spread; my body felt like it was in the throes of a storm. The thought of what I had eaten the worst came to mind. Maybe it was that raw fish, or maybe the vegetables that didn't look the freshest. Every thought brought me a growing sense of uneasiness.
I leaned against the wall, closing my eyes and breathing deeply, trying to calm the wave of annoyance that was growing stronger. Between one breath and the next, my thoughts raced to how I could have avoided it. My mind crowded with images of healthy, fresh foods, while my body continued to protest.
After a long moment that seemed like forever, I tried to relax and let my body do what it was supposed to do.
A huge turd started to come out right in front of your face.
How beautiful but how smelly and how painful!
